Getting started

What is Pearls of Quran?

A place for teenagers to explore, understand and live by the Quran. It combines a printed book of 365 pearls — one Quranic phrase, its meaning and its reference on every page — with online learning: 36 levels, 108 quiz questions and a certificate. It is part of the ‘Aayaatul Quran’ Project.

Is it free?

Yes. Reading the pages, taking the quizzes and downloading your certificate are free. We never ask for card or payment details.

Who is it for?

It was specially compiled for Muslim teenagers, grades 8 to 12. Anyone who wants to understand the verses is welcome to learn.

How do I start?

Tap Start learning and register with your full name and your mobile number with country code. Email, age and gender are optional. Then open Level 1 in My Ocean. You can also try Level 1 as a guest first.

Do I need the printed book to learn online?

No. Every one of the 365 pages is inside the online reader, exactly as printed. The book is for reading a pearl every day; the online course helps each verse stay.

Reading & quizzes

Why is the quiz locked?

The quiz unlocks only after you have reached the last page of the level in the reader. Until then you see “Read all pages to unlock quiz”. Go to the final page and the “Proceed to Quiz” button becomes active.

How many answers must be right?

All of them: 3 of 3. Each quiz has 3 questions with 3 options (A, B, C), shown one at a time. With a perfect score the next level unlocks.

What happens when an answer is wrong?

When you tap an option it is locked in and you see only “Correct” or “Incorrect” — the right answer is not revealed. If you miss any question you see “Quiz Not Passed” with the questions to review and your own answer to each.

Why must I read again before I retry?

After a quiz that is not passed, the one action is “Retry after reading”. It takes you back to the reader, and you must reach the last page again before the quiz reopens. The answers are always in the pages — reading them once more is the fastest way to 3 of 3.

Can I change an answer after tapping it?

No. Tapping an option locks your answer for that question. Take your time before you tap.

How many pages are in a level?

Ten. Level 1 is pages 1–10, Level 2 is pages 11–20, and so on. Level 36 is the longest: 15 pages (351–365).

Pearls & progress

What is a pearl?

Two things. Every page of the book is a pearl: one Quranic phrase with its meaning and reference. And every level you pass reveals a pearl as your reward, which joins your strand — a necklace of 36.

Can I skip ahead to a later level?

No. Levels unlock strictly in order. Level 1 is always open, and each next level unlocks when you pass the quiz of the one before it.

What are the depth zones?

Your 36 levels are a dive through six zones of six levels each: Sunlit Surface, Coral Reef, Blue Lagoon, Twilight Waters, Midnight Deep and Treasure Deep. The further you go, the rarer the pearls.

Is my progress saved? Can I continue on another phone?

Yes, when you are signed in. Your progress is stored with your account, so sign in with the same mobile number on any device and carry on. Guest progress is not saved.

How do I turn the sounds on or off?

Use the speaker button at the top of the page. Your choice is remembered on that device.

Account & sign-in

Why is there no password? What is the SMS code?

There is no password to remember. Enter the country code and the number you registered with, and we send a one-time 6-digit code by SMS to that number to confirm it is you. Codes go to Indian (+91) numbers; other numbers sign in with the number alone. Please type the number carefully.

What is guest mode and what does “Progress Not Saved” mean?

As a guest you can explore without registering. The notice means exactly what it says: your quiz progress and unlocked pearls will not be saved. You can keep diving level after level in that session, but nothing is stored after the tab closes — and the certificate and the competition need an account. Register or log in to keep your progress.

I already use Flowers of Quran or Aayaatul Quran. Do I need a new account?

Yes. The three programmes are separate, so register once for Pearls of Quran — you can use the same mobile number. Your Pearls of Quran account starts fresh, and your account in the other programme is not changed.

It says my number is already registered. What now?

That number already has a Pearls of Quran account. Choose sign in instead of register and enter the same number.

It says “Please register this number first.”

No account was found for that number. Check the country code (the default is +91) and the digits. For +91 (India) the number must have exactly 10 digits. If you are new, register first.

If I sign out, do I lose my pearls?

No. Signing out only removes access from that device. Your learning progress across Flowers, Pearls and Aayaat remains safely stored with your account.

How do I change or correct my name?

Open Me in the learner portal and edit your name, ideally before you download your certificate — the certificate prints the name on your account. If you cannot change it, send us a message with your registered mobile number and the correct spelling.

Certificate

How do I get my certificate?

Pass all 36 levels while signed in. After Level 36 the certificate button appears: open it and tap “Download Certificate (PDF)”.

What is the number on my certificate (PQ-001)?

It is your own certificate number. It is created once, the first time you open your certificate, and it stays the same after that. You will find it printed beside the logo. Keep it — the competition entry form asks for it.

Why is my name in capital letters?

Names are stored in upper case and printed in capitals on the official certificate template, so every certificate looks the same. Make sure the spelling is right when you register.

How can a school check a certificate?

Open Verify a certificate and enter the number printed at the top right of the certificate, beside the logo (for example PQ-001). It shows whether the certificate is genuine, the date it was issued and — for privacy — only the first name and the initial of the surname.

Can I get a certificate as a guest?

No. A certificate needs a name and saved progress, so it needs an account. Register and your completed levels are kept from then on.

Competition

Who can join the competition?

Learners who have registered, studied all 36 levels and obtained the Certificate of Completion. You then submit your request through the competition portal and must be available online at the scheduled date and time. See the competition page for the five steps.

What is the competition like, and what are the prizes?

It is held online on Zoom. It features any 10 pearls: Quranic phrases are shown alongside their English translations and you match each phrase with its correct meaning. ₹1,00,000 is divided among 20 winners — ₹5,000 each, paid toward their school tuition fees.

What does the entry form ask for?

The student's full name, father's name, mobile number, age, gender and your Certificate ID (for example PQ-001), plus a declaration that you completed the course. Email and a copy of your certificate (PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 5MB) are optional. Use the same mobile number you registered with.

Privacy & safety

What information do you keep about me?

Only what the course needs: your full name, your mobile number and — if you choose to give them — email, age and gender, plus your learning progress and certificate number. There are no adverts and we never sell data. Read the full Privacy Policy.

How do I delete my account?

Three ways: in the learner portal (Me → Delete account), in the Android app (menu → Delete Account), or with the web form on the Delete Account page. Verified requests are completed within 30 calendar days.

I am a parent. Can I see or remove my child's data?

Yes. A parent or legal guardian can ask at any time to inspect the data about their child, stop further processing or have the account deleted. Email ask@characterbee.com or use the Delete Account page.

The book & the app

What is in the printed book?

365 pages, one pearl on each: the Quranic phrase in Arabic, its meaning in English and its reference. The cover says it best — “Read a pearl every day.” A QR code on the cover leads to the online support.

How can I get the book for myself or my school?

Volunteers help deliver the book to school students. Tell us about your school or send us a message and we will let you know what is possible where you live.

Is there an Android app?

It is coming soon on Google Play Store. Until then the website works well in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer, and your account will be the same in the app.

How can I help spread the book?

We invite volunteers to assist in delivering the book to school students, and we welcome sponsors and supporters. Start on the About page or write to us from the Contact page.

Still stuck?

Ask us. A real person will answer.

Tell us what happened and the mobile number you registered with. We usually reply within two working days.
